How do I request software for the cluster machines?

LTS Software Update Requests surveys are sent quarterly to the imaging partner and stakeholders. If you have a software request, review the guidelines to ensure it qualifies. If it does, submit your request through the survey on that page.

How do I check out a laptop?

Please visit Laptop Loans to checkout a macOS or Windows laptop for academic use.

I can’t log into a cluster computer but can access other Stanford services. Why?

This issue is likely due to your SUNet ID password not syncing with Stanford’s Active Directory system, which is used by cluster computers and eduroam.  To resolve this:

  • Try resetting your SUNet ID password—this often forces a sync with Active Directory.
  • If resetting your password doesn’t work, submit a support ticket to the Windows Infrastructure team through Stanford UIT Support Ticket.
